The Oakland Athletics placed outfielder Stephen Piscotty on the 10-day injured list Saturday due to a sprained left wrist.

This is the second time Piscotty had landed on the IL due to the wrist. He also went on the list in mid-June and missed 2 1/2 weeks.

Piscotty is experiencing a rough season, batting just .220 with five homers and 16 RBIs in 72 games.

The 30-year-old Piscotty established career bests of 27 homers and 88 RBIs in 151 games in 2018 during his first season in Oakland. But he hasn’t played more than 94 games in a season since the big year.

Oakland recalled outfielder Seth Brown from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move. Brown had been optioned to Las Vegas on Saturday.

The 29-year-old Brown is batting .205 with 16 homers and 37 RBIs in 91 games this season.
