The Philadelphia Eagles won’t put Carson Wentz in harm’s way as he recovers from a fracture in his back, meaning Nick Foles will start once again in Week 16.
Head coach Doug Pederson told reporters that Foles will be under center once again in Week 16 as the Eagles attempt to claw back into the playoffs.

During Sunday night’s primetime matchup in Los Angeles against the Rams, Foles was solid and helped Alshon Jeffery become a key cog. He did, however, throw a very bad interception and was lucky he didn’t get picked off a couple more times on overthrows over the middle.
All told, last year’s Super Bowl MVP had 270 yards passing with no touchdowns and one interception as the Eagles improved to 7-7, a half game outside the final Wild Card spot in the NFC.
Next up for Foles and the Eagles is a date with the Houston Texans. They’ll close out the season with a road game in Washington, D.C.
