Nick Bosa won’t even get reevaluated until November after ‘major surgery’

The Ohio State Buckeyes should get prepared to potentially be without star defensive end Nick Bosa for the rest of the season after he underwent surgery to repair a core muscle.

Bosa’s father, John Bosa, revealed that it was “major surgery” and that his son won’t even be getting reevaluated until November.

“Nick had major surgery,” Bosa told Ari Wasserman of The Athletic. “Now, he had surgery with the best surgeon for the core on the planet (Dr. William C. Meyers in Philadelphia) and it’s 100 percent fixable, which is the beauty of it, but he’s not even getting reevaluated until November.”

Bosa was having a stellar season for the Buckeyes before he went down in Week 3 against TCU.

Widely pegged as a top-five prospect for the 2019 NFL Draft, he could legitimately go No. 1 overall if teams at the top aren’t enamored with a quarterback. With that in mind, as much as his heart might want to play for Ohio State later this year, the smart move might be to simply get healthy for the draft.
