The New York Knicks are set to host the Philadelphia 76ers Tuesday night in Game 5 of their NBA Playoff series. With a win Tuesday evening, New York will advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Unfortunately, Tom Thibodeau’s squad will have to deal with a shortened rotation moving forward in the postseason.
Shams Charania of The Athletic reported on Tuesday that veteran forward Bojan Bogdanovic will undergo season-ending surgery on his wrist and foot.
Bogdanovic was acquired from the Detroit Pistons during the in-season NBA trade deadline. He’s been an important option off New York’s bench since then. The forward averaged 10.4 points on 37% shooting from distance in 29 regular-season games with the Knicks.

Bogdanovic played just one minute in Game 4 before pulling up lame. He had struggled to the tune of 7-of-24 shooting over the course of the first three games. Obviously, the 35-year-old veteran was nowhere near 100%.
For the Knicks, this cuts further into their depth in the frontcourt. Remember, fellow forward Julius Randle is also out for the playoffs.
The hope for New York is that OG Anunoby and Donte DiVincenzo continue to play at a high level as the team looks to advance. A win Tuesday night would do just that.
