There promises to be some awkward quarterback meetings in Dallas this upcoming summer. Awkward as in, “did you really send that tweet out?”
New Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, who was selected by the squad in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, was just a tad frustrated with his favorite team’s lackluster performance a few years back.
Specifically, Tony Romo’s performance:

No one should really care what a then 19-year-old freshman at Mississippi State tweeted out. It’s not really important in the grand scheme of things.
It’s still rather hilarious.
As is this:
A teenager at the time of these tweets, Prescott wasn’t necessarily happy with how Romo performed in the Cowboys season-ending loss to the Washington Redskins back in 2012.
The Cowboys current starter threw three interceptions in the 28-18 loss. By virtue of the defeat, Dallas handed the NFC East to the Redskins.
Dak Prescott: “This means everything. It was something I dreamed about. I ran around the house acting like I was a Cowboys QB my whole life.

To be perfectly honest, most Cowboys fans were frustrated by Romo after that game. It was one of the darkest points in an otherwise tremendous career for the un-drafted free agent.
Likely to laugh all this off once Prescott meets him, Romo isn’t one to hold grudges over a tweet sent out nearly four years ago. Heck, I sure hope most NFL players wouldn’t be upset over something like this.
It doesn’t make this any less hilarious.
