The Nebraska football program was dealt a stunning blow when punter Sam Foltz was killed in a car accident Saturday night. As the program deals with this tragic loss, it has made the decision to forego Big Ten Media Days on Monday and Tuesday.
Here is the statement made available by the school, via Brian Hamilton of Sports Illustrated.

Foltz was about to begin his senior year at Nebraska. He was the Big Ten Punter of the Year in 2015 and was named to the Ray Guy watch list for the upcoming season.
Former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler was also killed in the accident. LSU kicker Colby Delahoussaye was injured in the accident as well but survived.
Per the Waukesha County (Wisc.) Sheriff’s Department (via USA Today Sports), the vehicle, which was being driven by Sadler, lost control on some wet pavement and struck a tree.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the friends and families of Foltz and Sadler.
