It sure looks like the NBA season will resume at some point in July. Recent indications are pointing at a return within the confines of Wald Disney World in Orlando.
This latest report from Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press indicates that things are moving a long on this front. The Basketball insider notes that the NBA is in exploratory conversations with Disney that could culminate in the season resuming at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports complex.
Previous suggestions were that the NBA season would resume in both Orlando and Las Vegas. That might no longer be the case.
This is some rather big news, too. It’s the first concrete conversations the NBA has had with a potential host site.
Barring any hiccups, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver is expected to lay out his plan for a return to action on June 1. Having a host city locked down would be one of the biggest initial steps.
