The New York Knicks have long been considered a potential landing spot for two-time NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant.
It’s not yet known how much the ruptured Achilles Durant suffered earlier this month will impact him in free agency.
What we do know is that the Knicks are interested in both Durant and Kawhi Leonard.
According to Frank Isola of The Athletic, both Durant and Leonard will give the Knicks a meeting once free agency opens on Sunday.
In no way does this mean either is going to sign with the long downtrodden organization. However, meetings are always a positive sign.
The reigning NBA Finals MVP, Leonard is more than likely going to re-sign with the Toronto Raptors. He’s also on the Los Angeles Clippers’ radar.
Meanwhile, Durant will likely be choosing between the Knicks, Warriors, Nets and Clippers this summer.
Stay tuned.
