Veteran NASCAR driver Gray Gaulding was arrested by the Mecklenburg Country Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday morning at 7:17 a.m. for a ‘Misdemeanor Crime of Domestic Violence.’ He was released at 12:42 p.m. that same day.
The first report appeared on TobyChristie.com, which also reported no court dates scheduled per the North Carolina Judicial Branch website.
Gaulding has yet to make a start this season, but raced 11 times in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2023 with a pair of top-10s. He also made a Cup Series start at Gateway for Rick Ware Racing where he finished 29th.
The 26-year-old from Colonial Heights, Virginia has 158 combined NASCAR national touring series starts but had no announced plans for the 2024 season.
