MLB world reacts to Mike Trout winning third AL MVP

Mike Trout, MLB

A legendary career added another historic accomplishment to his Hall of Fame resume on Thursday night. Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout won AL’s Most Valuable Player award, the third in his career.

While Trout received outstanding competition from Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman, even a season-ending injury couldn’t stop Loos Angeles’ star outfielder from winning one of the most coveted individual wards in sports.

Trout received 17-of-30 votes, with the other 13 going to Bregman, and finished with 355 total points. He’s now won the MVP award in 2014, 2016 and 2019 and won’t turn 29 until after the second half next season.

Following the announcement of the newest MVP added to Trout’s trophy room, the MLB world reacted in appreciation and awe at the future Hall of Famer’s accomplishments.
