Mississippi State’s Mike Leach optimistic CFB season will go on as planned

Mike Leach college football season

The always boisterous Mike Leach shocked the college football world earlier this year when he decided to leave Washington State for Mississippi State.

Leach’s success as a coach and his personality should play pretty darn well in the south.

With the 2020 college football season up in the air amid the ongoing pandemic, Leach took to social media on Thursday to provide fans with some optimism. He did so in the most Mike Leach way possible.

“Swing your sword. Do it with great technique. Do it with great energy, and do it with great attitude,” Leach said. “Let’s get through this thing. And let’s get back. And I can’t wait for kickoff.

Outside of those interesting Leachisms, it seems that the veteran head football coach is optimistic the 2020 season will start as planned in late August.

As of right now, things certainly do seem to be trending in that direction. However, it’s going to be a long road back. What happens with the virus and how states respond over the next few weeks will dictate whether the season goes on as planned.
