NBA rumors: Giannis Antetokounmpo

Just days before the Milwaukee Bucks were set to travel to Orlando for the NBA’s restart at Walt Disney World, the team is shutting down its practice facility following the latest COVID-19 tests.

Milwaukee Bucks close practice facility after COVID-19 test results

The Bucks are scheduled to leave for Orlando on Thursday and the team had been preparing for the NBA’s season to resume in recent weeks. Unfortunately, a round of COVID-19 tests conducted this week seems to have provided problematic results.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Bucks shut down their practice facility this weekend following the results they received from COVID-19 tests on their roster. The team hasn’t disclosed the specifics of the results, but the facility won’t be opened up again this season.

Under the NBA’s guidelines, any player that tests positive for the coronavirus will not be allowed to travel with the team to Orlando. While there is still time for a player to recover, with the 2019-’20 season set to resume on July 30, the clock is ticking.

COVID-19 cases among NBA players

The Los Angeles Clippers became the latest NBA team forced to sideline a player due to a positive COVID-19 test. Landry Shamet, one of the team’s top three-point shooters, will not travel with the team after contracting the virus.

Unfortunately, he joins a growing list of players who have tested positive for COVID-19 since players started practicing together.
