The Chicago Bears plan to open the season with quarterback Mike Glennon under center. That doesn’t mean that rookie quarterback Mitch Trubisky doesn’t encroach Glennon’s thought process on a daily basis.
And this will only intensify now that training camp has arrived. Glennon knows he’s going to face daily scrutiny, and he says he’s prepared for it.

Poor Glennon. He has dealt with similar situations before. He took a back seat to his former teammate, Jameis Winston, in Tampa Bay.
Now, Glennon has a new team that has put its faith in him to start…at least for one year. As we all know, the Bears jumped through hoops to trade up for Trubisky, whom they selected second overall in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Glennon afterwards said he “felt cheated on” by the Bears, and rightfully so. The veteran now has to wake up each day wondering if this is the day the Bears might suddenly pull the rug out from under him by deciding to start Trubisky.
For now, Glennon’s job should be safe. But, that might not be the case a month or so into the season if the team is 0-4.
