The latest chapter in the weird growing divide between Chicago Bulls legends Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen now includes an ex-wife claiming she was “traumatized” by a negative comment from one of the basketball Hall-of-Famers.
When NBA fans think of the Chicago Bulls or the greatest duos in the league’s history, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen often come to mind. The league legends are forever linked due to their impressive success in winning six championships during their time together.

Both retired from the sport long ago and seemed to be on mostly good terms. However, over the last year, there seem to be some growing issues between the two. In May, Pippen made headlines when he claimed that his iconic teammate was a “horrible player” and “horrible to play with” during an appearance on Stacey King’s “Gimme the Hot Sauce” podcast.
It was a stunning revelation since the perception was that both men revered and adored their time together. However, it is possible those comments were forged due to an awkward new connection between the Bulls greats. And that being Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife Larsa starting a relationship with Michael Jordan’s son Marcus last fall.
Michael Jordan publicly disapproved of son’s relationship with Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife
Obviously, that has to make things a bit weird between the two longtime teammates, and Jordan was recently asked if he approved of his 32-year-old son dating the 49-year-old former wife of a longtime friend. In response, the five-time MVP kept it simple by saying “No” he did not approve of the relationship.
Well, that comment apparently had a serious effect on “The Real Housewives of Miami” alum. During a new edition of the pair’s “Separation Anxiety” podcast, which was aptly titled “Father Knows Best,” Pippen claimed Jordan’s opinion “traumatized” and “embarrassed” her because the couple had been claiming publicly their families were supportive of the relationship.
However, she also did admit that the pairing has to be “weird” for her ex-husband and “His Airness.”
“But it probably is awkward for my ex and your dad because they have their own relationship or whatever it was. I wasn’t a part of that, you weren’t a part of that. So I feel like for them it probably is weird, it probably is weird for your dad. I can’t be mad. I understand. … Oh my god, I was traumatized. I was like what are we going to do, people think I lied.”
Larsa Pippen and Michael Jordan’s second eldest son have revealed marriage is a possibility in the near future.
