It all started with a simple phone call, and when Michael Jordan calls, you answer. Jim Harbaugh answered, of course, and the resulting conversation ushers in a new era of sports merchandise for the University of Michigan.
Jordan announced the move to provide Michigan with Nike gear, via Twitter.
Big House. Big plans.

Harbaugh, ever the social media magnate, responded in kind.
Thanks MJ! It will be an Honor to share our sideline with you. https://t.co/ZCDIXvhD0m

According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, Jordan reached out to Harbaugh with a phone call to make the deal happen.
Why did Michigan football get changed to Jordan brand. MJ himself called up Harbaugh & said he wanted to make it happen.

Also part of the deal, the Michigan basketball squad will now also be outfitted with Nike gear.
Given the outstanding repertoire we’ve seen coming out of Oregon in the uniform department, we cannot wait to see what Nike comes up with for Michigan.
