The Miami Heat are going to have to move forward without the best player in franchise history. It’s not going to be easy for their fans and those within the organization to see Dwyane Wade wearing a Chicago Bulls uniform next season.
But unlike other organizations and fan bases in the sports world, those close to the Heat know full well how to show their respect for a player that gave them everything for 13 seasons.
The Heat organization will honor Wade on Friday with a plethora of events to pay homage to a man that brought it three NBA titles.

This is a really cool act by the organization. It could have easily went the other way with leaks to the media about internal issues surrounding Wade. The team’s local media could have gone the route of Oklahoma City.
Instead, even in the face of losing a true legend, those in Miami have shown themselves to understand what respect means.
Though, it will most definitely be interesting to see how much Wade merchandise sells at the store. That would be a whole new level of respect. For fans of the Heat to buy Wade jerseys even though he’s no longer on the team.
A far cry from fans in other cities burning jerseys the minute their star decides to move on to another team.
