Miami Dolphins running back Knowshon Moreno who signed with the team during the free-agency period, may require arthroscopic knee surgery.

Since minicamps have began, Moreno has been at the backend of the practice rotation with fellow running backs Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas getting the first-team reps.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport is reporting that Moreno’s lack of activity is because of pain in his left knee, which has been sore this past spring. It is not knee that Moreno suffered a torn ACL in back in 2011.
According to Rapoport’s sources, it was reported that his knee is feeling better than previsously, however, an arthroscopic knee surgery is a possibility. Moreno is scheduled to see a doctor next week to find out more. If surgery is required, it could happen just a few weeks prior to the start of training camp.
Moreno signed on with the Dolphins for one-year at $3 million, for which $1.25 million is guaranteed. Did the Dolphins invest in damaged goods? That remains the question.
