Dallas Mavericks star guard Luka Doncic is doubtful for Friday’s game against the Houston Rockets due to a right ankle injury.
Doncic was injured in the final minutes of Wednesday’s 99-82 home win over the Golden State Warriors. He limped off the floor with 1:33 remaining.
Afterward, Doncic said he wasn’t concerned about the injury.
“I twisted it, but it’s not the bad one, so I guess it’ll be OK,” Doncic said, referring to the left ankle he injured twice earlier this season.
Doncic recently missed 10 straight games — five due to a left ankle injury and five while in COVID-19 protocol.
The fourth-year player is averaging 25 points, 8.8 assists and 8.0 rebounds in 24 games.
The Mavericks will also be without big man Kristaps Porzingis (COVID-19 protocol) for the third straight game. He went into protocol Monday.
