Marshawn Lynch campaigning for Seahawks to sign ‘brother’ Fred Jackson

Marshawn Lynch

The Buffalo Bills drafted running back Marshawn Lynch with their first-round pick in 2007, which is also the year the team signed an undrafted free agent from Coe College, Fred Jackson.

After spending a little over three seasons playing together in Western New York, Lynch and Jackson bonded so much that the now-Seattle Seahawks runner refers to Jackson as his “brother.”

Buffalo abruptly released Jackson on Monday, but he wasted no time in visiting the Seahawks. Although there’s no deal agreed upon for Jackson at this time, Lynch is reportedly campaigning for Jackson to sign with Seattle.

We all know Beastmode can be quietly persuasive when he needs to.

If things do work out for Jackson in Seattle, he’ll certainly have an ideal shot at sporting a Super Bowl ring before he retires, especially when compared to his former Bills team.

Plus, perhaps Lynch having his buddy Jackson on his team might just bring the Seahawks running back out of his shell a little bit.

We shall see soon enough if the two stand to be reunited, pending the outcome of Jackson’s visit, of course.
