When LSU takes the field on Saturday against Mississippi State, the Tigers will have a slightly different look. And this alternate look will have a purpose.
Rather than the traditional white shirt with yellow pants look, LSU will wear solid white uniforms. Additionally, the Tigers will wear purple helmets, rather than the normal yellow ones. On the back of those helmets will be an American Flag and 1918, honoring the end of World War I.

We see a lot of alternate uniforms in college football every year. Unfortunately, a good amount of them miss the mark.
That doesn’t seem to be a concern for this one, though. This has a good amount of tradition, mixed with some unique style.
