The Indianapolis Colts pulled off quite the coup earlier this week, reportedly signing future Hall of Fame quarterback Philip Rivers to a one-year, $25 million contract.
Rivers, 38, will help Indianapolis in its efforts to dethrone the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC next season. The Colts also made the signing official on Saturday.
Rivers heads to Indy ranked sixth on the all-time list with 59,271 passing yards and three touchdown passes short of 400 for his career.
An offseason that has been defined by big-name players switching teams should culminate in the Colts being a legit Super Bowl contender this coming season. That’s for sure.
