Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos practiced Thursday morning after missing the last two games with a lower-body injury.
The 33-year-old forward tallied two goals and two assists in the first two games of the season and could return to the lineup for Thursday night’s contest against the visiting Vancouver Canucks.
Stamkos has recorded 1,060 points (517 goals, 543 assists) in 1,005 games with the Lightning since being drafted with the No. 1 overall pick in 2008.
Tampa Bay lost 5-2 at Ottawa on Sunday and 3-2 in overtime at Buffalo on Tuesday without the two-time Stanley Cup champion in the lineup.
