Both Eustachy and his top assistant, Steve Barnes, who had taken over as the interim head coach, had previously been placed on administrative leave due to the university’s investigation.
Initially, Justin Michael of Rocky Mountain Collegian reported that CSU was investigating Eustachy, noting at the time that the “vast majority of the players spoke out against Eustachy in their interviews.”
Not long afterward, the school admitted that an investigation was being launched into “a climate assessment” into how Eustachy and Barnes were running the program. Clearly, the investigation — the second in four years — yielded results that were unfavorable to Eustachy.
As part of Eustachy leaving the program, he’ll receive three installments worth $250,000, the Denver Post reports.
