The Ole Miss Rebels hired Lane Kiffin as their head coach for his ability to bring talent to a program. After poaching a key recruiter from Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan staff, Kiffin is now digging at an old rival by stealing a prized wide receiver prospect from the Florida Gators.
After committing to Florida in November, four-star receiver prospect Marc Britt announced this week that he’s joining the Rebels.
Britt, who opted not to sign on National Signing Day, revealed on Thursday night that he’ll be playing in Oxford this upcoming season. It’s a tremendous boost for Kiffin’s recruiting class as Britt now becomes one of the program’s top recruits this year.
The 6-foot-2 receiver is rated as the ninth-best athlete by 247 Sports and was one of the top football recruits in talent-rich Florida. He became the fourth four-star recruit in the Rebels’ class, giving Kiffin the No. 34 class in the country.
Kiffin has certainly earned his reputation for poaching talent from other schools and he’s already doing that at Ole Miss. As long as it means more talent is coming to Oxford, fans will be more than happy.
