Five-star prospect Landen Thomas, the No. 1 tight end in the Class of 2024, committed to home-state Georgia on Thursday.
The 6-foot-4 Thomas attends Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Ga., and had offers from nearly three dozen schools, including Alabama, Notre Dame and Ohio State.
He announced his decision on Twitter with a simple comment: “Committed!!”

Thomas reportedly chose the Bulldogs over Florida and Michigan, thanks, in large part, to the efforts of Georgia assistant coach Todd Hartley.
“It’s just the love I was getting from the coaches, especially Coach Hartley,” Thomas told 247Sports about his choice of Georgia. “They use their tight ends a lot and it’s my home state … (Coach Hartley), he just shows you that he really wants you.”
As a sophomore in 2021, Thomas caught 31 passes for 516 yards and seven touchdowns, per 247Sports.
