When LeBron James signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, it sent shock waves throughout the NBA. Then, in just as shocking a move, the Lakers brought in one of James’ primary “rivals” in Lance Stephenson.
Stephenson opened up about joining forces with James in Los Angeles during a conference call on Tuesday. Based on what he said, it seems that Lance is perhaps more focused on being ready for next season than he ever has before.
Lance Stephenson, on a conference call, said the Lakers want him to "bring intensity" every night, and added that he loves to play at a fast, up-and-down tempo.

Lance on LeBron: “I was surprised he made the move to L.A. … I feel like him reaching out and saying he likes what I bring to the game is amazing. I can’t wait to get on the floor with him … I’m very excited to see what that brings … I think we’re going to have a fun season."

Stephenson also expressed excitement about playing with Los Angeles’ young up-and-coming stars.

It’s going to be fascinating to see how Stephenson and James work together this coming season. The Lakers are already one of the teams oddsmakers see as a shoo-in to make the playoffs, and the expectations of instant success will be impossible to avoid.
