Los Angeles Lakers veteran guard Rajon Rondo has yet to take the court this season as he continues to rehab a calf strain. On Monday, he shared that his injury was compared to Kevin Durant’s, which convinced him not to push his recovery too quickly.
Likely, Rondo won’t be the last person to change how they view a calf strain in light of the way things went for Durant in the playoffs last season. Remember, he rushed back to give the Golden State Warriors a boost. He was playing great, and then, the Achilles snapped on the same leg as his initial calf injury.
Back to Rondo, it sure helps that the Lakers are playing so well. He really has no need to rush back. When he is fully healthy, Rondo will be just another weapon for this dangerous team to utilize.
