As Oakland Raiders defensive end Khalil Mack’s holdout in search of a new contract stretches into another week, the hits keep coming to his wallet.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Mack will not report before Oakland’s second preseason game and will now see his fines reach $1.628 million combined.
Raiders DE Khalil Mack will not report to team before its second preseason game Saturday, per source, meaning he will be fined another $814,000, bringing his two missed preseason game total to $1.628 million. More important for both sides: there is no end in sight, per source.

The fines continue to build up for Mack, but there is reportedly no end in sight for the contract dispute to come to an end. While head coach Jon Gruden may not view it as a distraction for the team, the absence of Oakland’s best player lingers over the team.
After already being fined once, it’s clear this measure will not work in Oakland’s favor. Now as his future with the Raiders hangs in the balance, fans will just have to wait and hope the star pass rusher returns.
