Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant left Game 5 against the Houston Rockets with a leg injury. But according to initial reports, it’s not as bad as initially feared.
While the injury looked like it might be an Achilles tear, the Warriors announced that while Durant won’t return to Game 5, he suffered only a right calf strain.
Obviously, Durant isn’t out of the woods. But an Achilles tear would have had Durant out for the remainder of the playoffs and well into the 2019-20 season. For now, it appears as though it’s not that serious.
