20 years later, Cincinnati Reds and Seattle Mariners Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. still remembers his role in the film Little Big League, and still watches the movie today.
Griffey tells Yahoo Sports he watches the film once or twice a year.
It’s because of my son, he says. There are only a couple shows where he said that he know I’ll sit there and watch it.
For those of you who don’t know the 4-1-1 on Little Big League, it’s a movie about an 11 year old who becomes the owner and manager of the Minnesota Twins. As if the Twins didn’t have enough drama already after placing Joe Mauer on the DL.
More importantly, Griffey plays himself and even Randy Johnson makes a cameo.
So happy birthday to Little Big League. They’re not legal yet, but like that ever stopped you from celebrating.
