Keegan Bradley shot a 6-under 64 on Saturday and holds a one-shot lead over Chez Reavie after three rounds of the Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Conn.
Bradley, who shared the 36-hole lead with Denny McCarthy, carded six birdies during a bogey-free round to stand at 21-under 189. Reavie had eight birdies and one bogey with posting a 63 to put heat on Bradley.
Patrick Cantlay recorded a 9-under 61 to move within five shots of Bradley. He made nine birdies, including four straight on Nos. 12-15, to enter the final round at 16 under.
McCarthy shot even-par 70 to fall six shots off the pace. He had four birdies and four bogeys. He made back-to-back bogeys on Nos. 7-8.
Rickie Fowler and Australia’s Adam Scott are also tied with McCarthy for fourth place.
Fowler shot a blistering 60 and had a chance to hit 59 before a par on No. 9, his final hole of the day. Fowler eagled the par-5, No. 6 and made eight birdies.
Scott had six birdies and one bogey while shooting 65.
Justin Thomas (62) and Scottie Scheffler (63) had strong rounds to move up to a tie for seventh place at 14 under. Also in the tie are Alex Smalley (64), Brian Harman (64) and Australia’s Min Woo Lee (65).
