22 year-old Yordano Ventura exited Monday night’s game against the Astros in the third inning with an elbow discomfort injury, he is scheduled to undergo an MRI Tuesday.
Ventura was a favorite to watch in the spring. In an article I wrote on the righty in March, he threw a 1.76 ERA in four games, walking one with 15 strike-outs and a .717 WHIP in pre-season play.
This season, Yordano has pitching in 54.2 innings with a 2-4 record and has accumulated a 2.80 ERA.
