Kansas City Chiefs superfan revealed to be a fugitive bank robber after recent arrest

The Kansas City Chiefs superfan known as “CheifsAholic” reportedly was arrested last week after being a fugitive on the run following a slew of bank robberies throughout the midwest.

Well before the Kansas City Chiefs became the NFL’s current dynasty team by winning two Super Bowls in four years, the franchise had a very devoted fanbase. For years, despite their failings in the playoffs, the organization was known throughout the league for the loud crowds at the Chiefs’ home games.

One particular supporter that reached “superfan” status in recent years is Xaviar Michael Babudar or the man many Kansas City Chiefs fans know as “ChiefsAholic.” The 28-year-old has grown to notoriety among the fan base for his trademark wolf costume that is worn under a Chiefs jersey and cap. Well, he became a national story this week for a shocking revelation about his history away from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

On Monday it was reported that Babudar was arrested last week following four months on the run to evade bank theft and transporting stolen property charges, according to the US Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Missouri.

In December, “ChiefsAholic” was arrested in Oklahoma for connections to a robbery in Tulsa. After being released on bond two months later, the Kansas City Chiefs superfan removed his ankle bracelet and began a four-month fugitive tour to avoid arrest before eventually being detained by authorities in California on July 7.

However, the Dec. robbery is reportedly just one of a slew of robberies throughout the Midwest Babudar is accused of taking part. The Chiefs supporter reportedly was involved with robbing multiple banks and credit unions in the Midwest region and then laundered the stolen goods through area casinos and bank accounts.

Suffice it to say, one of the Kansas City Chiefs’ most notable fans is unlikely to be attending any games for several years ahead.
