Just a year after they were teammates, receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster and Antonio Brown have a history at taking shots at each other on Twitter. So when Brown posted a picture on Instagram suggesting he inspired the younger receiver, Smith-Schuster didn’t hesitate to call him out.
Brown shared a picture on Instagram of him hugging his former teammate with the caption “It’s about inspiring the culture; it’s all love.” What seemed like an inspiring post and a sign that Brown was putting his issues in the past, instead turned into Smith-Schuster calling out Brown for the hypocritical post.
It’s a fair point by the 23-year-old receiver. If Brown genuinely wants to show love and appreciation for his former teammate, he could unblock Smith-Schuster and apologize for his comments in the past.
Instead, it appears for now that Brown’s actions aren’t backed up by his social media posts. Although, Smith-Schuster might just be better off ignoring Brown and focusing on the long NFL career ahead of him.
