The New England Patriots will take the field on Monday Night Football without wide receiver Josh Gordon.
Gordon, who missed practice this week with knee and ankle injuries, will not be able to play against the New York Jets. He’ll also be joined by tight ends Matt LaCosse and Ryan Izzo on the inactive list.
Gordon exited Thursday Night Football in Week 6 after hurting his left knee while blocking. While he reportedly avoided a significant injury, the absence will now keep him out for Week 7.
Receiver Phillip Dorsett will likely slide into a more prominent role with Gordon sidelined. New England could also feed Julian Edelman and James White more targets against New York’s defense.
