Mississippi State head football coach Joe Moorhead has stuck with Nick Fitzgerald through thick and thin this year, ignoring the loud calls for him to bench the senior quarterback in favor of Keytaon Thompson.
On Saturday as the Bulldogs hosted Texas A&M, Fitzgerald came through in a huge way with an absolute dime of a touchdown throw to Stephen Guidry.

After the play, as Fitzgerald approached the sideline, he was met by Moorhead, who went absolutely bonkers.

Fitz throws a touchdown and Moorhead shows emotion. I think this is what MSU fans expected going into the year. pic.twitter.com/rELVr2A4V3

Fitzgerald loved it — his smile told the story.
Moorhead wasn’t done, either. He was very upset that officials decided to review the touchdown catch, expressing his emotions with more another display.

It’s been a long season so far, but clearly there’s no lack of passion between these two men for what’s still to come.
