The Utah Jazz added veteran guard Jordan Clarkson in a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier on Monday.
That apparently spelled the end of Jeff Green’s short tenure in Salt Lake City. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Utah has waived Green.
This is somewhat of a surprising move. The Jazz just signed Green to a one-year, $2.6 million deal back in July.
The former lottery pick was averaging 7.8 points and 2.8 rebounds on just 39% shooting from the field at the time of him being waived.
In his stead, Utah has signed former Bucks G-League forward Rayjon Tucker to a multi-year deal.
It sure looks like this team is looking to shake up its bench following an 18-11 start to the season.
