Second-year Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott will make his preseason debut on Saturday against the Oakland Raiders.
At least, that’s what Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett is telling us.

Elliott was held out of the Cowboys first three preseason games. This week’s slate of games will feature most of the starters from each of the teams in what is considered the annual dress rehearsal to prepare for the Week 1 kickoff.
Fans of Elliott’s should soak in all they can as it very likely could be the last time he takes the field until Week 8. Elliott was handed down a six-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy. Though, he is appealing the suspension and his hearing is scheduled for August 29.
If the suspension holds, running back Darren McFadden will fill in for Elliott with Alfred Morris backing him up.
We will definitely know where things stand once Elliott has day in court.
