Just a couple days after scoring a touchdown in his NFL presason debut, Jacksonville Jaguars rookie running back Leonard Fournette is sidelined.
Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone indicated Sunday that Fournette has suffered an undisclosed foot injury and will be sidelined from practice.

There’s no details as it relates to how serious the injury is, but Fournette was not seen at practice Sunday morning.
“Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette not spotted at practice. Team will provide an explanation after practice. RB Chris Ivory working off to the side on an exercise bike,” ESPN’s Michael DiRocco reported earlier in the day.
This might very well be a minor injury, but Fournette’s history in college tells us a story of a running back that has struggled to stay healthy. Needless to say, this should be of concern for the Jaguars.
The team selected Fournette No. 4 overall in Apri’s draft as a way to help Blake Bortles overcome is mistake-prone past. The idea here was to rely on Fournette to provide more balance on offense. And while we’re not sure how serious his foot injury is, this most definitely isn’t good news.
