Jaguars HC congratulates Jalen Ramsey on birth of child, lists CB as questionable for Week 4

Jalen Ramsey

The Jacksonville Jaguars may or may not have star cornerback Jalen Ramsey playing Sunday when they take on the Denver Broncos.

Ramsey, who has reiterated his desire to be traded this past week, is away from the team for the birth of his child. He did not practice at all before leaving the team for the birth.

On Friday head coach Doug Marrone congratulated Ramsey and said he is officially questionable for the game.

Ramsey requested a trade following the team’s Week 2 loss to Houston. He has cited a dissatisfaction with the way the team’s brass respects him as his main reason for wanting to be traded.

“I’m not sure if I’ve played my final game for the Jags yet or not but my trade request still stands,” Ramsey said, speaking  on Uninterrupted’s “17 Weeks” Podcast on Sirius XM/Pandora, per ESPN. “For me, respect is a huge thing. I kinda touched on it a little bit last week in last week’s podcast but once respect is lost for both parties I think it is time to part ways.

“I’m going to continue being a top corner in this league for years to come. The money will come, but money isn’t everything. Peace and happiness means a lot more than the money.”

It sure seems like Ramsey will do what he can to not play another game for the Jaguars as he attempts to leverage his way out of Jacksonville.
