J.J. Watt broke his hand Wednesday in practice, but fans need not worry about his availability in Week 14.
The league’s best player, Watt has played through some serious injuries in the past, including a broken nose. Therefore it’s not surprising he’s going to play Sunday against the New England Patriots, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
JJ Watt said he broke his hand at practice yesterday but will play in game on Sunday vs. Patriots.

To date, Watt leads the league with 13.5 sacks, and he routinely gets to the quarterback despite being double- and triple-teamed. He was held in check this past weekend in Buffalo, thanks to an aggressive strategy to keep him from wreaking havoc.
One wonders if having a cast on his hand will take away from his ability to continue making life miserable for opposing quarterbacks. We’ll find out Sunday night when the Patriots take the field in Houston against the Texans. If Watt isn’t effective at getting to Tom Brady, it could be a long night for Houston’s defense.
