Indiana has added center Payton Sparks, a transfer from Ball State.
The 6-foot-9 Sparks averaged 13.3 points and a team-leading 8.7 rebounds for Ball State in the 2022-23 season. He also shot a team-best 58.8 percent from the field.

A native of Winchester, Ind., Sparks was named Mid-American Conference freshman of the year in the 2021-22 season.
Sparks leaves Ball State after two seasons with averages of 13.4 points and 8.6 rebounds in 62 games (all starts).
He entered the transfer portal on March 16.
