Atlanta Hawks star guard Trae Young has been downgraded from questionable to out for Tuesday’s road game against the Chicago Bulls due to a non-COVID illness.
Young, 24, boasts team-leading averages in points (26.2) and assists (9.9) in 71 games this season for the Hawks, who host the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.
He made a pair of free throws with 1.8 seconds remaining in Atlanta’s 132-130 overtime victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. He collected 24 points and 12 assists in 41 minutes on Sunday.
The Hawks (39-39) reside in eighth place in the Eastern Conference, albeit just one game ahead of the 10th-place Bulls (38-40).
