Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen fractured his foot in Sunday’s win over the Dallas Cowboys and will be out several weeks.
On Tuesday, Olsen tweeted out a message. In it, he expressed a great deal of frustration, especially about injuring the same foot that cost him much of the 2017 season. But while Olsen will be out for a while, he also expressed optimism that he’ll return to the field in 2018.

Olsen’s not wrong about his availability being a great asset. From 2007-2016, Olsen missed only two games. That helped him become one of the most productive tight ends in the league. Olsen topped 1,000 yards each year from 2014-2016.
But the last two years have been a grind. He played in only seven games in 2017 and is now looking at a lot of missed games in 2018.
Olsen had caught two passes for 33 yards prior to getting hurt on Sunday.
