Greg Olsen auctioning off ’69 Camaro for charity

If you’ve ever wanted to ride like an NFL star, now’s your chance. Carolina Panthers star tight end Greg Olsen is auctioning off his 1969 Camaro. Proceeds will benefit Olsen’s HEARTest Yard charity.

Additional pictures of Olsen’s Camaro can be seen at TMZ.com.

That is certainly a beautiful car and it figures to catch a pretty penny at auction. The good news is that the money will go to a good cause.

“The goal of The HEARTest Yard initiative is to help families as they adjust to this new life of having a child with a congenital heart defect. Through the fund, parents may deduct money from a predetermined medical benefit,” per the Carolinas HealthCare System. “The program does not charge families to use the benefit, and the hospital has no additional expense either.”

Olsen and his wife started the charity after their son T.J. needed in-home care stemming from surgeries following a congenital heart defect. After their own experience, they realized they wanted to give others who weren’t as financially able the same chance at providing that level of care for their own children born with similar conditions.

So, if you can help contribute to a very worthy cause while looking good, this seems like a win-win.
