Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Brayden McNabb has signed a three-year, $8.55 million contract extension with the team.
McNabb, 31, was set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season. His new deal will carry him through the 2024-25 season.
McNabb leads the league in blocked shots this season with 110 and has 100 hits. He also has nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 45 games.
McNabb was chosen by the Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft and has been with the club for the past five seasons. Before that, he played three seasons for the Los Angeles Kings and two for the Buffalo Sabres.
For his career, McNabb has played in 552 games, with 107 points (22 goals, 85 assists). He is the Golden Knights’ all-time leader in blocked shots with 634.
