Quarterback Davis Webb rejoined the New York Giants and reunited with new head coach Brian Daboll, signing a reserve/future contract on Monday.
The Giants drafted Webb in the third round in 2017 but he never appeared in a game and was released at the start of the 2018 season. He latched on with the New York Jets, who cut him at the start of the 2019 campaign.
The 27-year-old free agent then spent the past three seasons with the Buffalo Bills, where Daboll was the offensive coordinator.
Webb has not attempted a pass in the NFL. He made his debut with a couple of late kneel downs in a 45-17 victory against the Jets in Week 10 this season.
The Giants also signed free agent punter Jamie Gillan to a futures deal. Gillan, 24, was waived by Cleveland on Dec. 22 after appearing in 44 games over three seasons with the Browns.
