Slugger Giancarlo Stanton was introduced as the newest member of the New York Yankees Monday following the blockbuster trade from the Miami Marlins.
Before being introduced, Stanton took to Instagram to take a pointed shot at the Marlins, who he compared to a “circus.”
During the press conference, he tried to lift up his former Marlins fans but may have failed to do so.

Afterward, Stanton appeared on the Yes Network to talk further with the hosts. He was asked about what opposing pitchers might feel having to face him, Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez. His reply was pretty awesome.

Last year, Stanton blasted 59 home runs and drove in 132 runs. Judge and Sanchez combined to slug 85 home runs and drove in 204 runs. You add that up, and that’s a whole lot of hurt baseballs, not to mention pitchers’ bruised egos.
No wonder Judge thinks he and Stanton are going to be best friends.
