On a night when seemingly everything went wrong for the Florida Gators, things got even worse for Florida after quarterback Feleipe Franks went down with a nasty leg injury.
Late in the third quarter with the Gators in desperate need of a big play on fourth down, Franks rolled out of the pocket to try and get the necessary yardage. He was brought down from behind and bent back awkwardly with his legs underneath him.
The medical staff brought out an air cast and put it on Franks’ right leg before he was eventually carted off the field. This has the potential to be a season-ending injury for Franks and that would be a devastating blow for the Gators.
