Gary Kubiak hires son Klint Kubiak to join Broncos coaching staff

Klint Kubiak, son of Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak, is joining his father’s coaching staff for the 2016 NFL season.

The 28-year old was the wide receivers coach for Kansas University last year under David Beaty. While most would assume this was an easy call for the young man to make, Kubiak would disagree.

“I’ll be heading out there pretty quickly,” Kubiak, 28, told Matt Tait of the Journal-World Tuesday afternoon. “And it was not an easy decision because of how much I think of coach Beaty.”

James Palmer of NFL Network confirmed the move Tuesday evening:

Kubiak has NFL coaching experience as a receivers coach with the Minnesota Vikings for two years, and he was invited to a rookie minicamp with the Washington Redskins in 2010 after playing four years at Colorado State as a defensive back.

Given his youth, he’s well on track to become one of the NFL’s youngest head coaches if he continues down this path and has such aspirations. One thing is sure, he’s going to be learning from one of the best.
